The ban on Stun Guns and Taser devices in New York has been lifted and currently there are no restrictions on the sale of the devices in the state other than that the purchaser must be 18 years or older.
Although the ban has been lifted, there is the possibility that some restrictions on possession and/or use, like permit requirements, may be imposed in the future, but at the moment there are no other restrictions. It is the sole responsibility of the individual possessing a stun device to research and comply with all laws if there are changes and permit requirements issued within the state.
