Davenport police have arrested a man who allegedly attacked a woman with a stun gun to sexually assault her, according to the arrest affidavit.
Jamie Dean Trickel, 40, of 2346 W. 3rd St., Davenport, is charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree sexual abuse. Detectives arrested Trickel on Monday in connection the March 27 attack.
Each charge carries a prison sentence of up to 25 years.
According to the arrest affidavit filed by Davenport Police Cpl. Scott Lansing, at 9:37 p.m. March 27, Trickel broke into the woman’s home armed with a handgun and a stun gun.
Trickel forced the woman to put on a pair of high-heel shoes and took pictures of her feet with his cellphone.
He then attacked her with the stun gun by placing the weapon against her neck. The shock knocked the victim to the floor of the dining room. Trickel then removed the woman’s undergarments and attempted to sexually assault her. He then fled the home.
Trickel was being held Monday night in the Scott County Jail on $25,000 bond.
It’s horrible that this woman’s home was broken into and she was sexually attacked. If she had been armed with a self defense device of her own she may have been able to level the playing field and protect herself. It’s a good thing this rapist was caught and is taken off the streets! Protect yourselves, your daughters and all the women in your lives with a Women’s Stun Gun.
